Parliament House Excursion

Learning Through Islamic Values

Our teachers began the day by speaking with the students about the importance of our Islamic values and laws, reminding them that as Muslims, we are always guided by the teachings of Allah SWT and the example of our beloved Prophet SAW. These principles shape the way we live, make decisions and interact with the wider community.

Exploring Parliament House

Students had the opportunity to visit Parliament House, where they were given an insightful guided tour of both the Lower House and the Upper House. They then participated in a hands-on role-play activity, simulating how laws are discussed, debated, and passed in Australia. This interactive experience helped our students understand the law-making process, appreciate responsible leadership and reflect on how decisions impact the wider community.

Reflection, Prayer and Play

After our visit to Parliament, we headed to Jack Roper Reserve, where students prayed Dhuhr together, shared lunch and enjoyed time playing in the park. It was a beautiful opportunity for students to connect, relax, and reflect on the day’s learnings.

A Day of Knowledge and Faith

This excursion was a wonderful balance of learning, reflection and enjoyment. We are grateful to Allah SWT for granting our students the chance to deepen their understanding of Australia’s law-making process while being reminded that our ultimate guidance comes from the Qur’an and Sunnah. We make du’a that Allah SWT blesses our students with knowledge that benefits them, strengthens their iman (faith) and inspires them to become future leaders who uphold justice, integrity and Islamic values.
